Barbara Proschak (born 1984, based in Leipzig) is a visual artist specializing in photography. Proschak’s basic methods are collecting and archiving. She examines the fringes of photography with her photographic arrangements. In her serial work, the desire to explore and experiment is felt, which Proschak conceptualizes as a game of comparative seeing. An important element of tension in her work is repetition and variation. Since 2018 she has been overdrawing a selection of her photographs with fine permanent pens. The series unfolds a moving surface and the illusionary power of depth. Between these two poles, she explores the value of the original and the reproduction, and series and single images.
InYoung Yeo is an artist based in Seoul. Her work expands from text, drawing, and video installation works to research based projects with interdisciplinary approaches in topics of Gender, A.I. and Urbanization. She explores personal narratives of vulnerabilities, migration and gendered memories, structures and systems of communities, ethics and humanities around artificial intelligence finding patterns, coincidences in numbers, and critical and romantic dimensions of differing micro-narratives with a focus on cyclical relations. Yeo approaches these topics with performative, discursive and speculative ways circling around the desire, capital and consumption cycle. She works internationally and has participated in various projects, exhibitions, residencies, talks, and workshops in Korea, Germany, North America, Southeast Asia among others.
