The work »Die Rivalin« is an object made of wood pasted with a film still of »Die Büchse der Pandora« (1929) by George Wilhelm Pabst. A flat screen is embedded in the object which is showing a video of new arranged and animated parts of this silent film. Hereby is the topic of the anxiety of men in the 20s and 30s against the lesbian rival presented. In order to restrain the allegedly threat for the viewer, mostly a tragic end as an outcast, as a cursed vampire or the death was imposed for the lesbian on film.
