Rebecco Ann Tess explores structures of exploitation and authority in cities, in nature, and in the human body in a global context. The point of departure for the series »Alpha++ Models« are global cities such as Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, and Singapore. The golden-tinted glass and metal facades share the urban space with various forms of nature and people look like ghosts in the highly mirrored setting of the cities. Tess succeeds in striking, in terms of the artistic subject matter, extremely coherent balance between appealing visual aesthetics and reserved distinctness. (Matthia Löbke)
